I am new to using the air fryer which was recently purchased, so I’m trying different Spent with Pennies air fryer recipes. I tried the whole chicken tonight to serve to my 3 adult sons for dinner. I followed the recipe precisely, using the homemade chicken seasoning. It was outstanding, with a lovely crispy skin and the meat was moist! I will definitely repeat this recipe and am excited to try more of your air fryer recipes, Holly!

This was the first time I cooked a whole chicken in the air fryer. The chicken turned out Awesome!!! I’m 67 and have always cooked. This was the best chicken I have ever made. The skin was crispy and the meat juicy. Thank you sooo much for this recipe.

I just finished cooking the chicken, and it is absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked! I used a 5.5lb chicken that fit in my air fryer and cooked it for about 90 minutes. Other than the time and size difference, I followed your recipe exactly and love the chicken! I was trying to figure out how to cook a whole chicken in this hot weather without turning my oven on, and your recipe did the trick! Thank you!

Tried this recipe earlier today and it was a HUGE hit with my family! This is the only way I’ll cook a whole chicken from now on. My chicken was a little over 5 lbs but I have a large air fryer so it fit easily. I added about 18 minutes of extra cook time and it came out perfectly. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside and so delicious! I’m so thankful to you for sharing this recipe!
